About Gwen Thompson

Gwen is a licensed massage therapist, SC LMT#1462, with over 25 years experience. She practiced part time while working in the banking industry. As time went on, she rose through the ranks of management in banking and there was not enough time to do both jobs.  

She put her massage practice on hold but continued to do the training and education to maintain her license. After retiring as the President and CEO of a community bank, she once again turned back to her love of massage. 

Gwen studied extensively when she was a practicing therapist: 

• She graduated from the White Winds Institute of Integrative Energy in Atlanta, where she learned how to read and work with the body’s energy field.  
• She is a Level II Reiki practitioner.  
• She has most recently studied in the fields of Upledger’s Cranial Sacral Therapy and John Barnes Myofascial Release. She has taken multiple classes in both fields including Cranial Sacral I, Cranial Sacral II, Developing and Deepening your Full Body Presence and several classes included in the Healing from the Core curriculum.  
• In the area of Myofascial Release, her studies include Myofascial I, Myofascial II, Unwinding and Rebounding.  
• She has served as a teaching assistant for Cranial Sacral work as well.  
• She is certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage
• She is a certified Massage Therapist

Gwen continues her education to better help herself and her clients. She is a well-trained therapist with a love and commitment to using her skills to help others. Gwen has a network of professionals that she uses to refer clients when needed. 

Gwen’s knowledge of energy and structural work is a combination that is beneficial to all clients.
